Gawley Plastic Surgery

Summer/Fall 2017

I hope this email finds you well and you're enjoying the  final  days of summer.

September is always an exciting month. Summer is winding down and everyone looks forward to the cooler days ahead. And while planning exists all year long, September marks the "all hands on deck" month for our annual Patient Appreciation and Charity Event - the Gawley Gala.

This year we are holding the event a month earlier than years passed. As many of you know, a big portion of the event focuses on our support of the local breast cancer charity Don't be a Chump, Check for a Lump. For this reason, it makes sense to hold the event in the national breast cancer month of October.

We are also moving the event back to the Fairmont Princess Resort! We will be taking over Richard Sandovol's Toro Latin American Restaurant and Rum Bar at the TPC. The event begins at 6:30 p.m.

And of course everyone looks forward to the discounted purchasing opportunities. We are excited to be utilizing our on-line store this year for these purchases and everyone that registers for the event will have the chance to make their purchases on-line just prior to the event.

Most importantly, we are busy organizing the silent auction tables and raffle, all of which benefit the charity. This year, more than ever, your participation is critical. With the Komen Foundation no longer participating in Arizona, we are left with nearly a $750,000 deficit in breast health resources including, education, screening and treatment. Our goal is to raise a minimum of $40,000. Donating these proceeds to Don't be a Chump, Check for a Lump, assures that the money stays within our community.

I look forward to seeing you and your invited guests at the Gala!

Sincerely,

Bryan Gawley, M.D.

Struggling with hair loss?
PRP Hair can help

PRP made it's red carpet debut a number of years ago with the hollywood starlets family - the Kardashians. But PRP isn't just about "hype" and the rich and famous...it does work.

When applying PRP to the face it accelerates healing and boosts collagen production for plumper, prettier skin. It can also be used for hair as illustrated:

How PRP hair works

Most patients require multiple treatments to see optimal results, though some may only receive this procedure once a year. Results will vary, but in general, patients should expect to see a gradual increase in natural hair growth over the course of several months.

Dr. Gawley can perform PRP at the time of a surgical procedure or one of our Certified PA's or RN's can  perform  the procedure at MD Skin. Read more about PRP Hair here and see before and after photos.

Cleopatra model

Cleopatra was known for her beautiful skin and touted milk baths as her secret.

With so many new technologies available to enhance the beauty and health of the skin, it's easy to forget about older treatments that are cost effective and yield beautiful results!

Chemical peels are just that - and have been around for hundreds of years! Remember the milk baths that Cleopatra was known for? Well that was actually a lactic acid peel for the entire body!

There are a plethora of available chemical peels - each meeting a specific skin type and/or condition, but the premise is the same: removing the dead layer of skin forcing the skin to speed it's renewal process for glowing skin. Peels can be mild or aggressive.

With our summer heat finally passing, now is the perfect time to schedule a series of peels.  If you've never experienced a chemical peel, schedule your free consultation prior to taking advantage of this special:
