Grey Goose Graphics welcomes Howie Lauretti!

This summer we welcomed Howie Lauretti to the Grey Goose Graphics team! Howie is joining our team on the video side of things, and we believe his talents and background will add a unique dimension to the services we offer. Howie brings a fresh burst of creativity and talent and we’re all excited to see where his creative flair and technical expertise take his projects now that he’s a member of the Grey Goose Graphics team.

Originally from Dryden New York, Howie has been in Binghamton for the last 8 years, starting as a student at Binghamton University to eventually making waves in the local media industry.

Before joining our team Howie served as a creative producer in the news and broadcast industry, where he honed his talent for visual storytelling and video production. Outside of work he is also dedicated to advancing his skills by making a hobby out of videography and photography. Howie enjoys his quiet time as well with his avid reading and serene outdoor camping and hiking trips amongst New Yorks various State Parks during the summer months.

With Howie on board, we’re committed to delivering even more captivating and visually stunning content for our clients. We’re confident that his expertise and love for the craft will enhance your experience with Grey Goose Graphics!

Web Accessibility & ADA Compliance

Four the third quarter this year... this continues to be the hot topic in the industry. We've sent out a few emails on this on this topic and dedicated a new page on our website to this... Learn more here.

In September of this year, WCAG 2.1 guidelines were released. This is going to again stir up the industry and create additional attention, lawsuits, etc. regarding compliance.

We are excited to partner with accessiBe , the number one fully automated web accessibility solution in the world for ADA and WCAG compliance. What was once an over one-thousand-dollar commitment per year for this functionality is now available for less than $500.00 per year. While on the surface this sounds expensive, it’s significantly less than the legal bill to fight off only one frivolous claim against you. It’s also important to note that frivolous legal claims are usually deterred by the implementation of this platform.

If you are a non-profit or organization that receives any type of public money, funding or grants or must meet NYS Policy NYS-P08-005 Accessibility of Web Based Information and Applications, this should be something we talk about sooner than later as most governmental regulations are requiring the accessibility provided by this integration.

This is a strategic initiative you should consider.

It’s not only good business, but also the right thing to do.

Let us help you navigate this important part of web design and development, minimize your risk for litigation, and eliminate the frivolous attacks from those looking to make a quick buck from client’s who do not consider compliance in their site design. Contact us today to learn more and see how we can help.

FALL is HERE....

This past weekend marked the official start of fall. Most of you don't need a calendar to note that this past weekend marked the official start of fall. We are not seeing as much of the sun during the day, it's getting darker quicker, and the temperatures are certainly dropping in the evenings. The leaves have already started to change color in the Southern Tier.

The lighting and backgrounds is ideal for video and photography work outdoors. If you've been holding off on a project, time is quickly running out for the 2023 season. Please contact us today to discuss your upcoming project and let us get you on the production calendar before the leaves drop and we are planning for the return of greenery in the spring!

Video Promotions

We are currently experimenting with project vs. hourly pricing for some of our smaller video projects.

To see if this makes sense for clients as well as our studio, we are excited to announce two special video promotions for the month of October.

Basic Video Promo - $540*

Ideal for the smaller budget, but still seeking the impact needed to tell your story. We can provide a smaller price point because there is less involved in concept development and “straight to the point” shooting/interview therefore less cost without sacrificing quality.

  • Marketing video for digital ad (for website or social media).
  • Up to 60 sec finished product.
  • Assist with scripting & scheduling
  • 1 hour shoot at yours or our location (within Greater Binghamton**). (Need to establish limit on # of questions asked as well)
  • Can include 1 interview (up to 5 questions.) and basic b-roll or all B-roll (no onscreen appearances)
  • Inhouse VO, if needed
  • 1 round of revisions
  • Basic motion graphics (logo and/or lower third messaging/titles)
  • Color correction
  • Royalty Free Music Inclusion

Premium Video Promo - $900*

If you have a little bigger budget to work with but still want to keep it modest, this option is for you. Advanced video packages require more time and production resources, bringing more content in the shoot and interview, delivering to meet your needs.

  • Concept creation
  • Location scouting, if necessary
  • Marketing video for digital ad (for website or social media). More involved video telling a story, such as an overview
  • Up to 120 sec finished product.
  • 2 hour shoot at yours or our location (within Greater Binghamton **). Can include 2 interviews (5 questions each) and basic b-roll or all B-roll (no onscreen appearances)
  • Professional VO, if needed
  • 1 round of revisions
  • Basic motion graphics (logo and/or lower third messaging/titles)
  • Color correction
  • Royalty Free Music Inclusion

* Add a drone shoot to either package for an additional $125.00

Information from the Grey Goose Graphics Family...

One of the advantages we have over larger agencies is getting to know our clients on a more personal level. We value these relationships and have come to realize that our clients have become our extended family. As we continue to build relationships, we find ourselves having very "real" conversations about everything from family and kids, to hobbies, politics and more.

Over the past few months, we've done a lot of listening. And we have heard some consistent things that we thought might be worth repeating...

  • If your business environment is constantly changing... you are not alone. It seems like everyone we talk to continues to be experiencing peaks and valleys with everything from billable hours, income, expenses, raw materials, and product availability. It seems like this is the new normal.
  • If the state of our current economy and political environment has you being more cautious or making more conservative decisions... you are not alone. It does not matter what party you belong to, your personal beliefs, or what platform you endorse... I've not had one conversation with anyone that is comfortable with what is happening around us.
  • If you remain concerned about COVID and how it's going to impact us in the coming months... again, you are not alone. The new variants, upcoming flu season, and updated messaging from the pharmaceutical industry seem to be on almost all our client's minds in one way or another.

Unfortunately, it appears these concerns will continue to impact us in many areas. From our day to day decision making to our short term forecasting or long term planning, these simply cannot be ignored.

While our sample size is relatively small, the consensus of our 250+ clients representing several different industries, markets and types of organizations all seem to agree that the only way to get through this is to establish a baseline plan and adjust accordingly.

We've heard this strategy is being used in many areas from planning family vacations and buying a new car to ordering new manufacturing equipment or adding a new service offering. It makes sense and allows you to maintain some sense of control and normalcy during a period of uncertainty.

As you roll out your plans for year-end initiatives or marketing plans for 2024, please keep us in mind. We would welcome the opportunity to be part of your plan and exceed your expectations!
