Fall Design
I don't know if it's the colors, the textures or the scents, but Fall is hands down my favorite time of year for interior decorations. Yes, even more so than the holidays because of the endless creative opportunities! I recently came across this site and have already tried a few ideas and tips, so I wanted to share it with all of you! Happy Fall!

How Did I Get Here?
Featuring Scott Hamilton
We love sharing paint and decor ideas with all of you, but we thought we'd add a personal touch to our newsletter by giving you a peek at the lesser known, funny (and sometimes quirky!) sides of the people who make Hester Painting & Decorating the incredible company it is!

After featuring Jeff Hester in the Spring newsletter, and John Jacob from our commercial division in the Summer, we are switching back to our residential division. Read on to learn a little more about John!

Q: How long have you been in the painting business and with Hester?
A: I've been in the business since 1985 and joined Hester in 1989.

Q: What is your favorite part of your job?
A: Meeting people, building trust which creates new relationships with customers and our employees and providing the best quality job in all of Chicagoland.

Q: What is the most unusual job you've been asked to bid on?
A: I was once asked to faux marbleize a toilet including inside the bowl and we completed the work!

Q: Tell us one thing about you that no one would ever guess.  I met my wife the same week I was hired at Hester 1989!
Does quality still matter?

We think so.

The digital age has given us so much - the ability to order any product for the lowest price with the click of a button, access to anyone at any time, comparisons on virtually anything anywhere. But at what cost?

Quality products and services as well as human connection are at the top of the casualty list. Faster and cheaper is convenient, and let's face it, who doesn't like a good deal. But there are certain items and services where corners can't be cut - dark chocolate, a good haircut and, yes, painting services.

Our founder, Tom Hester, believed in the human connection and quality craftsmanship, and more than 50 years later we stand by his beliefs. There is a marked difference when hiring a trained painter who takes pride in their work and uses a high performance product.

An investment in quality now will reward you with a beautiful result with longevity and money saved in the long run.
We love our customers and always strive to delight with the finished product! It makes our day when we achieve that goal and thought we would share what a few happy customers have to say!
