A Letter From Sandy
Meet LaTonya. She is a former US Marine who has severe PTSD. After helping LaTonya fund her abortion, she sent a thank you letter to us. She writes:
“Without your help, my life would have plummeted. I’m black. I’m sick. I’m pregnant and single. I had no means to care for a child. You may have literally saved my life. My gratitude to you has no bounds .”
We embrace LaTonya’s heartfelt story because we are
committed to providing abortion access in Kansas. In the face of threats to overturn Roe v. Wade, and as access to reproductive care is threatened by restrictive and punitive legislation, we STAND FIRM in our conviction:
ABORTION RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS
No matter what the political landscape, we will
never cede our legal and ethical right to compassionate, safe abortion care. This is what we have done since 1996 and
we’re not about to stop now. We believe that you should decide what’s best for your life, regardless of your race, income, gender identity or where you live.
Friends, wherever your philanthropy and passion may be focused, won’t you please consider the immediate impact of helping a Kansas person, like LaTonya? Our requests for funding this year have increased dramatically, so we please ask:
Donate today and proudly proclaim that abortion access is not something you’re willing to leave behind.
We thank all of you—our longtime donors and our newer friends. We thank you for your donations, from the $10 ones to the $1,000 ones. Every dollar goes directly to helping Kansas families.
