WorkReady First Phase Completed

We had a wonderful celebration recognizing our partners and our WorkReady participants completing Phase I of their program! Almost 300 members entering now the industry-oriented phase, building their path to a good and sustainable job, including union jobs

Wage Theft Trainings

The Wage Theft Program hosted workshops in partnership with the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) and Denver Labor. These workshops were designed to educate our members on how these agencies protect workers' rights, define wage theft, and how to file a complaint with each respective agency.

Health Insurance

Our Community Wellness Program, in partnership with Vuela for Health, helped more than 104 immigrant workers register for health insurance. At Centro de los Trabajadores we know that our workers are successful, maintaining a good health.

Dignity of Work Campaign with CCG and Organizing Institute

El Centro de los Trabajadores - Colorado had a platica with our community partner Coloradans for the Common Good as part of the Dignity of Work campaign, happening across the city.

We are excited to officially launch El CENTRO ORGANIZING INSTITUTE to continue building worker power!

Together as Brothers & Sisters

We stood in solidarity with UFCW Local 7R and Teamsters Local 455 in opposition to the Albertsons/Kroger merger. This merger would cause detrimental effects to local grocery stores. Stores will close, people, including immigrant workers will lose their jobs, and additionally, migrant workers and their families will inevitably become the most vulnerable workers.

Members Assembly

We had a powerful Assembly on September 25th, 320 members in the house, building the base to keep expanding their power as immigrant workers.

Message of the night: ORGANIZE TO KEEP BUILDING ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL POWER!

Cy Pres Award

We are grateful to our Toward Justice partners for choosing El Centro as the recipient for their Cy Pres Award. Thanks to this investment, El Centro will refine and expand its wage theft program into a Workers’ Rights Legal Defense Clinic in partnership with Towards Justice.  This legal clinic will provide pro bono legal support for workers issues and workplace disputes.

Mass Media spreads Centro de los Trabajadores's Work
