Eleven graduates of Jennifer House and Nielsen House    moved into permanent housing at a new  East End apartment   complex in September. Our Fall/Winter newsletter brings  you along   on a "hard hat" tour and shares the reactions of new residents.

In his Executive Director's report, Jim Smith explains how the leaders at Jennifer House and Nielsen House are working together to create a healing community atmosphere for residents, including renovations to make both houses more modern and comfortable.
 
Spooky Start to the Holiday Season
Visits to haunted houses were the latest adventures in a year full of sober fun activities for families at Jennifer House, who braved the "Dark Matter Scream Works" in Greece, and Nielsen House, who trekked to Darien Lake for "Fright Fest."
 
Big Crowd Makes Family Day Fun
Our Nielsen House news update also describes how nearly 150 residents, alumni, and supporters - including Judge Jack Elliott of Monroe County Drug Court, and Dr. Tish Smith, director of inmate drug and alcohol programs for the Monroe County Jail - came together for a fun and musical summer picnic at the house.
 
Eileen Hurley's Business Card Never Expires
Meet our new director of case management for SCPO residents at the Voters Block and Frederick Douglass communities. Eileen's new role continues a lifetime of serving clients who struggle with the impacts of incarceration and mental health issues.

20 More Apartments in 2020
A new Home Leasing renovation project will make 20 more apartments available to SCPO, enabling us to provide housing and case management support for more than 60 former residents of Jennifer House and Nielsen House.
