We're excited to announce the launch of our Digital Equity Initiatives, aimed at bridging the digital divide in Easthampton. Leading this effort is Carlos Lopez, our new Digital Navigator and a fellow through AmeriCorps' Lead for America Program. Carlos will be working closely with the community to improve access to technology, internet connectivity, and digital literacy for residents of all ages. New Digital Equity Navigator

We’d like to welcome Carlos Lopez to E•Media. He is the Lead Digital Navigator for Easthampton’s new digital equity program.

“It's my task to ensure Easthampton's vision for Digital Equality is successfully implemented by working with E-Media to provide all kinds of information & services to citizens of the city. Some of these services include tech support, course curriculums, & helping to secure internet access to anyone who may need it. I’m excited & look forward to helping with that in any way that I can.”

Tibetan Expression of Gratitude

E•Media and Hadley Community TV provided technical support for the live media coverage of the recent “Thank You, Jim McGovern” event hosted by the Regional Tibetan Association of Massachusetts and the Tibetan’s of the 2nd Congressional District of Massachusetts.

Our very own Jackson Foote did a phenomenal job coordinating E•Media staff, Hadley Community TV, and Tibet TV for an international live stream and recording.

“The event wouldn’t been successful without the amazing work you all put in.

We are truly appreciative of your help and dedication.

On behalf of the organizer, I want to say thank you.”

-Tsultrem Kunsang - President: Regional Tibetan Association of Western MA

Naomi Henderson

November-December 2024

Naomi Henderson grew up in upstate New York where she spent her childhood playing outside and making art. She studied Art History and Russian in Connecticut, Switzerland, and Russia. She worked in France on organic farms and as a shepherdess in the French Alps. She would eventually settle in Massachusetts to become a Waldorf art teacher.

Origins-

“This series of paintings arose out of a need to play and experiment with the material of oil paint. Play is the central approach for this series of paintings. I found it incredibly freeing to let go of representational work, and to simply live into color, movement and form for its own beauty.”
