The Go Digital Easthampton initiative continues to provide essential digital literacy training, ensuring that technology remains accessible to all. | | A Message from the Executive Director | | |
As we head toward the close of 2025, I’m energized by the growth we’ve seen this year and deeply proud of the work happening here at E•Media. Our member productions have expanded steadily, with nearly a dozen regular shows now in development and airing. This fall, our team jumped into a demanding election season, producing live mayoral debates, recording candidate forums, and creating individual candidate statements to help keep our community informed and connected.
One of the highlights of the year was our first Producers Night, where fourteen local creators gathered to share ideas, build community, and learn more about how our staff supports their work.
We also helped bring Easthampton’s Digital Equity Plan to life through the launch of Go Digital Easthampton, which has welcomed more than eighty residents for digital literacy training, device lending, and one-on-one support. The initiative also included the "Learn to Earn" program, where qualifying participants received a new Chromebook upon completion to help them stay connected and continue building their skills. None of this would be possible without the strong partnerships we continue to build with organizations throughout the city and across the region—collaborations that strengthen our community and broaden access to media, technology, and opportunity.
And yes—we do have a huge surprise to share. You’ll hear more about it in the next newsletter.
Until then, from all of us here at E•Media, happy holidays. We look forward to seeing you in the new year.
-Jeff
| | MA Digital Navigator Convening | | |
On November 20th, E•Media hosted the Massachusetts Digital Navigators Convening, organized by the Alliance for Digital Equity. The gathering brought together more than thirty digital navigators from across the state to share experiences, exchange ideas, and discuss emerging approaches to strengthening digital access- including the potential development of a credentialing pathway for Digital Navigators.
Representatives from the Massachusetts Broadband Institute attended, along with Comcast, which offered a presentation on affordable broadband programs and efforts to expand connectivity for residents throughout the Commonwealth.
We were grateful to serve as the host for this important statewide conversation and look forward to supporting continued collaboration in the year ahead.

E•Media was on hand for 5 separate candidate forums and helped to produce 15 candidate statements in the days leading up to the Fall 2025 election.
Providing over 7 1/2 hours of election coverage for our community!

A big thank you to everyone who stopped in during our annual Open Studios event. This year we hosted Steve Thomas, Folktales and Fusion. Guitarist Steve was joined by Carl Clements (Bansuri and Alto flutes, soprano sax), Chris Cheek (Alto sax), Claire Arenius (Drums) and Josh Metz (Bass), performed original music that's homespun Americana, style melting mashups and expressive prairie fusions all with jazz sensibilities that take you on an ear-bending adventure.

Go Digital Easthampton recently celebrated its first year, marking a meaningful step in helping our community bridge the digital divide. Over the past twelve months, we’ve offered dozens of classes across a range of digital skills and expanded access to walk-in tech support at multiple locations throughout the week. We’ve also grown our device lending program, ensuring that residents have the tools they need to stay connected and confident in a digital world.
We’re proud of what this initiative has already accomplished alongside our partners, and we look forward to continuing and expanding this work throughout 2026 and beyond.
