What's New at ICHDE

Welcome to Interfaith's newest team members,

LaTaysha Harmon & Achayen Ajah!

LaTaysha Harmon joins Interfaith as our new Resource and Marketing Assistant. She is a Delaware native, mother to three daughters and proud grandmother of two.

LaTaysha's passion lies in making a lasting impact on her community. She is resolute in her advocacy efforts, focusing on alcohol abuse prevention, substance abuse prevention, suicide prevention, and mental health awareness.

Above all, she strives to create a nurturing environment for young women to channel their energy positively and productively which led her to establish the G.A.P. Youth Mentoring Initiative, Inc. With this initiative, LaTaysha aims to equip young individuals with the mental and emotional tools needed to become active and thriving members of our community.

Achayen Ajah is Interfaith's new junior accountant. Achayen earned her BA in human development and family studies with minors in social work and women and gender studies from the University of Missouri (Go Tigers!). She graduated a passionate advocate for social change and began her career as an early childhood educator before transitioning to work with unhoused populations.

Practical considerations led accounting, where she discovered a newfound love for numbers.

In her current role as a junior accountant at ICHDE, she has come full circle, combining her passion for social work with her aptitude for accounting.

Achayen shares her home with Kryptonite, her loyal nine-year-old pit lab mix.

Welcome to Interfaith, LaTaysha and Achayen!

West Center City CIM Survey

West Center City residents were invited to participate in the Community Impact Measurement (CIM) survey. The survey, sponsored by NeighborWorks America , collects data to track environmental changes over time, gauge resident sentiments toward their community, assess safety measures, evaluate quality of life, measure social cohesion, and analyze community engagement.

This year, ICHDE partnered with G.A.P. Youth Mentoring Initiative Inc. to collect the data. While the data is important to help shape community development goals, it is also an opportunity to engage with our residents, hear their stories, and learn about our community.
