Teachers - use MY HERO Voting Ballots to explore both the theme of heroism and what makes a good short film with your class. The Teachers' Guide has tips for media literacy and fostering critical thinking and discussion. 

Students - watch fun short films and cast a vote for your favorites.

Parents and film lovers - enjoy specially curated, family-friendly films at home with your loved ones.

Eva Haller Saturdays Salon Series

Join artists, activists and change makers — take part in the
In collaboration with MY HERO, board member Eva Haller hosts a weekly salon that includes conversations and lectures from some of the greatest minds of today. Recent salons have included Dr. Sakena Yacoobi, ‘Mother of Afghan Education,’ as well as Dr. Ellen Haller, a professor Emeritus of Psychiatry who considers the impacts of the pandemic on mental health.
 
Upcoming presenters include: 

Frances Moore Lappé discussing the 50th-anniversary re-release of her revolutionary book Diet for a Small Planet. In this new edition, Lappé shows us how plant-centered eating can help restore our damaged ecology, address the climate crisis, and move us toward real democracy.

Yasmine Sherif has practiced human rights law with the United Nations since 1998, published a book in 2014 called The Case for Humanity: An Extraordinary Session, and in 2016 launched Education Cannot Wait (ECW) a UN-hosted, global fund for education in emergencies. She is the recipient of the 2020 MY HERO Global Educator Award. Sherif will be interviewed by MY HERO Board Member and Global Outreach Ambassador Mohamed Sidibay

MYHERO/iEARN Learning Circles Update
MY HERO Global Learning Circles are a collaboration between iEARN (International Education and Resource Network) and The MY HERO Project. This program gives educators and students around the world the opportunity to collaborate on the topic of heroes and celebrate everyday heroes while learning about the cultures in other countries. Currently, participants include teachers and students from Taiwan, Brazil, United States, Tunisia, Algeria, Puerto Rico, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Moldova, Pakistan, and Romania.
