October 2018
Welcome Fall!
Welcome fall! We have had an abrupt change in weather this year--seemingly overnight. We love the change of seasons from summer into fall. It gives us all a chance to have family and friends over for bonfires and cookouts to enjoy the cooler temperatures. Before we know it, the holidays will be upon us...

That means it's time to refresh our summer beds & containers and switch 'em up for the cool season. Time to add some new shrubs to the lackluster parts of the yard that need a little something to give them some interest throughout the year. Time to plant that evergreen border you have been thinking about since your neighbor took out the trees that were giving you that much needed privacy...

Sounds like it is the perfect time for a visit to The Orchard!
Container Gardens
As most of you know, we specialize in small scale gardens and colorful containers. There are several pots to choose from around the nursery that have been planted, or are waiting for plants. We also have quite a few small conifers that are perfect as a 'Thriller'. You can also bring us your pots for us to plant here--or we can come to your home.
Fall Planting Season
We have shrubs for fall planting! Camellias, Tea Olives, Banana Shrubs, Conifers, Oakleaf Hydrangeas, Distylium, Yews and many others. Fresh herbs, pansies & violas, Foxgloves and Snapdragons will give you color now and into the coming spring season.

Our holiday hours tend to fluctuate, especially this year! The owners parents are getting older and we never know when they might need a little extra help. Please bear with us--call ahead and we will be updating the answering machine regularly. Normally, we are closed for the Wednesday thru Sunday of Thanksgiving week and re-open the following Monday. Our last day for business in 2018 is Saturday, December 22nd. As this time gets closer, watch for end of year sales!!!
