The Young Professionals Board celebrated their One Year Anniversary!

This September marked the one year anniversary of the Young Professionals Board's first official meeting! Take a look back at all that our Young Professionals Board members have achieved and accomplished in this past year.

Young Professionals Board members met for the first time, as they learned more about the Foundation's mission, what their purpose would be as a member, and brainstormed events to do throughout the year.

These members then presented their first major fundraiser; Swing Fore the Seas, at Topgolf in Midtown! Through their diligence and imaginative ideas, almost $40,000 was raised to benefit the Foundation's education and conservation programs, with 18 sponsors and 23 in-kind donors.

The Young Professionals Board members also wanted to participate in their first mission-focused volunteering event, so we Revamped the Riverfront along Mural Mile! Together, they prevented 11 bags of trash from entering the Mississippi River, which is around 231 pounds of plastic pollution!

We have seen how much hard work, creativity, and dedication these members have put into this board to create a memorable and rewarding first year.

The St. Louis Aquarium Foundation thanks each and every one of our Young Professionals Board members for their leadership and we are looking forward to another amazing year!

Camp Fins & Friends went Swimmingly!

It is hard to believe that Camp Fins & Friends has already come to an end. Over the 10 week summer sessions, campers learned about various topics such as rivers and oceans, adaptations, what it takes to be an animal trainer and biologist, and how our day-to-day lives affect the world around us and the creatures that share Planet Earth.

This year, we welcomed 125 campers ages 7-12 to enjoy these many different programs, 12 of whom were able to attend for free through our H2O Friends program! The Foundation is excited to continue inspiring future conservationists, educators, and scientists in our future camps and programs and we are already looking forward to another JAWsome Camp Fins & Friends next year!
