The beginning of a new school year means financial lessons for Job students are starting back up again, but this time a little differently. Staying connected in a virtual world has it's challenges but Job students, staff, and volunteers have all stepped up to continue working hard and learning in a constantly evolving world.

We would like to welcome Antonia, Milanni, Jordyn, Darrius, DeKeya, Donyay, Fernando, Javion, Nikylan, Adriana, Eva, Demi, Aiden, Jordanna, Dakari, Mia, and Bynlee to our program. We can't wait to dive in to financial and leadership lessons with our new Job Family Students!
We are still accepting new enrollments for this school year. Students must be in grades K-5th, attend Waterloo Schools, come from a low income household, and have a desire to be financially educated. Education is the cornerstone of The Job Foundation program. Financial education happens in the classroom and in real-life situations. Elementary and middle school students are able to put what they learn into action during supervised shopping events.
At our August Shopping Day. students completed a spending plan, balanced their checkbook registers, and tracked their purchases.
Many students bought new clothes to prepare for the upcoming school year. We love seeing our financial lessons being put into practice for our Job Students!

Keeping Our Students Safe: Virtual Financial Lessons
|
|
After a year of uncertainty, the Job Foundation continues to take precautions for the safety of our families. Financial lessons have been re-structured to be presented virtually. Our education coordinators continue to get creative when it comes to this new way of teaching and learning.
Despite being virtual, Family Night was still a successful way to administer financial lessons, documents, and important information to our families while staying safe and socially distanced.
