Collaborative unites partners, networks to create equitable pathways

We successfully kicked off the Equitable Enrollment Collaborative (EEC), an initiative supported by the National Post Secondary Institute. The initiative, led by Diplomás and My Brother's Keeper San Antonio (MBKSA), gathers 80 professionals from secondary and postsecondary institutions across San Antonio to co-create strategies for increasing local students' postsecondary success. The EEC will prioritize targeted strategies that focus on students of color, particularly young men of color and Dreamers.

The next EEC meeting is Dec. 10.
Updates

FAFSA Training: Higher education partners, school district members and nonprofit organizations attended the uAspire FAFSA Training on Nov. 5. A detailed overview provided guidance to the 80 attendees on filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Second annual Growing Up in San Antonio concludes
Though we couldn't gather in person this year, 144 educational practitioners convened online for the second annual Growing UP in San Antonio (GUISA) conference.

Practitioners attended up to four professional development trainings to learn how to better support immigrant students. Access contacts for San Antonio Dreamer Allies and other resources here

Guiding Pathways in review

Guiding Pathways, an initiative funded by the Greater Texas Foundation, aimed to ensure more equitable access to high quality dual credit courses.

This year, we've provided resources and trainings to more than 350 people and thousands have accessed our online tools.

Throughout the 2-year grant period, we've engaged educators and administrators from 18 partner organizations who all represented a cross-sector commitment to collaboration.
