Bachelor's Grove: A Study in Hauntings and Folklore

Learn about the history of Bachelor's Grove and how it went from a small settlement to being labeled as one of the most haunted locations in Illinois. This presentation will also cover how paranormal experiences at Bachelor's Grove relate to other themes found in hauntings and folklore, from the Woman in White to lights in the woods. Stop by the Adult Services desk to receive a list of clues that will lead you to different locations outside of the library. Each location will have a puzzle for you to solve. Write the answers on your clue sheet and return them to the Adult Services desk when you are done. For each correct answer, you will earn a raffle ticket for a prize drawing. |

Can I make meeting room reservations?
Yes! Room reservations will begin again on June 1.
Can I donate my used books?
The Friends of the Acorn Library began accepting gently used book and media donations again on February 1. These books are used in the book store, and are the primary fundraising method of the Friends of the Library. Thank you for your support.
