2022-2023 School Year Begins | |
The Educate Now to Achieve Later (ENAL) After-School Program is back in session for the 2022-2023 school year. Programming will resume with staggered start dates at four Riverview Gardens School District locations (Koch Elementary, Moline Elementary, Meadows Elementary, and Westview Middle). Students at Koch and Moline are already enjoying daily tutoring and enrichment after school with TSM.
TSM prides itself on maintaining quality programming and services for the people we serve. With the rapid expansion of the ENAL After-School Program, TSM needs more tutors and site supervisors than ever before. If you or someone you know has a background in education and would like to apply, please visit thesoulfisherministries.com/careers.

End of Summer Celebration | Students had another fantastic summer in the ENAL Summer Initiative Program. Each year, the program offers tutoring, summer-fun enrichment activities, weekly field trips, and daily nutritional meals. This year, thanks to our outstanding community, partners, and grant funders, the program reached further by serving students at two sites: First Presbyterian Church of Ferguson and St. Stephens Episcopal Church. |
On the last day of programming, students, staff, board members, and AGAPE Program participants all came together to celebrate. Festivities included an inflatable obstacle course, a water dunk tank, cotton candy, ice cream trucks, and more! Meet DeNyne
"Hello everyone! My name is DeNyne Carter and I am the AGAPE Reentry Program Coordinator. I am originally from Detroit, Michigan but have found a special place in my heart for St. Louis! I began working with The SoulFisher Ministries in 2021 as a practicum student through The Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis and transferred into my current role upon graduating with my Master's in Social Work in May of 2022.
I have always been passionate about working to improve the lives of those who have been systematically disadvantaged and being with TSM gives me the ability to do just that. Being a part of this company has challenged me and allowed me to grow in ways I have never imagined.
I have fallen in love with reentry work and my passion continues to deepen. I look forward to the continued growth of TSM and my ultimate goal is to help expand reentry resources to various communities across the country in an effort to close the gap in reentry services."

Meet Jessica
“My name is Jessica Wooten. While in prison, I was constantly looking for places to go when I got out. I kept getting denied for many different reasons. Then I found out about The SoulFisher Ministries (TSM). After looking into it more, I was interested in joining the program. When I got accepted, I was so excited that I had somewhere to go. It was a feeling of relief.
TSM aims for success. They have helped me gain skills that have helped me build healthy relationships. There’s a lot of great resources that come from this program. I’ve taken all the classes and now I’m working two jobs. This was all with the help of TSM. My short-term goal is to save enough money to buy a car. My long-term goal is to successfully complete parole. It’s been a blessing being here at TSM, and I’m looking forward to what my future holds.”
