A friendly reminder to sign up for our before/after school chess clubs if you plan to do so. Some of our clubs are looking like the will fill up to capacity. Sign up now to ensure your child's spot in her or his chess club this year!
If your child's school does not currently have a Learners Chess club: We do have a few openings for new schools this Fall. Alternatively, yo may sign up for a club at a school near you. Here is a map of all of our clubs this year.
New Learners Middle School Club Launching This Fall!
Do to popular demand, we are launching a new middle school chess club this Fall!
Who: Former Learners students who are in 6th grade and up and have a strong interest to continue improving at chess and competing in rated chess tournaments.
Coached by: Three Time NM State Champion and Chess Expert, Coach Douglas Thigpen!
What: A chess club to challenge our middle school chess learners to continue their chess education and prepare for grade level and state level chess tournaments. After tournaments, club meetings will focus on more fun chess variants like bughouse and multiplayer chess.
