ACCEPT YOUR REALM INVITATION
We want you to join Realm! You should have an invitation in your email inbox inviting you to join Realm, our church management software. Joining takes just a few simple steps:
* Open the invitation. If you do not find the invitation in your email inbox, please check your spam folders. Click on the link to create your profile.
* Go to the Directory, find your profile, click on Manage Privacy and opt in to share your contact information (phone, email, address) with other members.
* Download the Realm Connect app on your smart phone or tablet. The app provides easy access to your profile, church directory, upcoming events, and more.
Joining Realm will give you access to information about our Church, including upcoming events, member directory, giving information, and much more. It also allows us to communicate with parishioners more effectively. Please take a few minutes to create your profile today.
If you do not find the invitation in your email inbox or spam folders, or if you have questions about Realm, please contact Laurie@csmsg.org. Our goal is to have the entire parish active on Realm by September.
Did you know the Church Service League administers the J. Francis Sant Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded to a student of theological seminary or a divinity school? Most recently, our own parishioner The Rev. Laurie Anzilotti received the scholarship. Interested? Contact Marjorie Sundfors at Sundors@att.net .
EMAIL SCAM
It has been brought to our attention that parishioners are receiving emails apparently sent from “Rev. Andrew John Archie” asking for a favor and to email him back. Please note: THESE EMAILS ARE SCAMS designed to deceive and exploit CSMSG parishioners’ trust and name recognition. In the most recent case, the scam artists take a familiar and trusted name and create a new email address, from which they then send various requests, usually for money.

Please be aware that any solicitation via email is a scam—do not send any money or click through any link in an email asking for money.

Email fraud may be avoided by:

  • Not responding to suspicious emails.
  • Keeping one's email address as secret as possible.
  • Using a spam filter.
  • Noticing the several spelling errors in the body of the "official looking" email.
  • Ignoring unsolicited emails of all types and deleting them.
  • Not clicking on links.
  • Ignoring offers from unknown sources. The contents of an email are not a formal or binding agreement.
  • Many frauds go unreported to authorities, due to feelings of shame, guilt, or embarrassment fraud victims often feel.

WOMEN'S RETREATS
SAVE THE DATES!
Saturday, October 5 at CSMSG
A verse from the poem A Song for Our Sisters of Scripture
There is a line of women
Who stood by Jesus’ side,
Who housed him whiled he ministered
And held him when he died.
And though they claimed he’d risen
Their news was deemed suspect
Till Jesus stood among them,
His womanly elect.
