Looking at the last of the golden leaves, we all start to pray for snow. Our SkiCo has been working diligently with the local powers here to keep us safe and comfortable. Our CEO, Mike Kaplan, was kind enough to return my call and it seems that we can load the gondola like we did all summer with “our group.” We will keep masks- or neck gaitors- on in line, and the “lifties” will sanitize the gondola at the top. Our on mountain restaurants will be open with properly spaced tables, and heated tents will be added.
As for our spectacular summer and fall, our favorite restaurants opened literally into the streets and the weather really co-operated for outside dining.
The stats from this summer look to be double of last summer. Truly, if you want a “bargain” we have them- but they are beyond walking to town-not a big deal.
