Dear Students,

We are nearing the end of the shortened fall semester – you are managing a to-do list that is growing longer as the days grow shorter. End-of-semester projects, final exams, social activities, athletic events, and the election are all vying for our time and energy.

Please take care of yourself and prioritize your well-being as you juggle competing priorities. Visit Student Health and Wellness for a variety of ISU resources available for physical, mental, and emotional health. You can find academic support at the Academic Success Center and Writing and Media Center, and testing accommodations with Student Accessibility Services.

For many of you, this may be your first time voting. Your vote is an essential opportunity to make your voice heard. If you are unaware of voter registration rules, you are eligible to vote if you were registered before the deadline of October 24. Information for college students can be found here or find a polling location in Ames.

It’s also important to remember our ISU Principles of Community as we engage with others. Treat your fellow Cyclones with respect and honor space as others share opinions and emotions that are different from your own. Iowa State University welcomes productive dialogue and honest and respectful expressions of ideas throughout campus—in classrooms, in residence halls, and online.

We understand this fall has been a whirlwind experience. Our goal is to help you succeed and end this semester strong. Take care and go Cyclones!
