Florida remains ranked 4
in the nation for K-12 student achievement, according to
Quality Counts 2019 report.
The annual report compares state-by-state data and trends related to achievement levels, achievement gains, poverty gap, achieving excellence, high school graduation and Advanced Placement.

The report follows the Florida Department of Education's release of its 2018-2019 district grades where Brevard County maintained its "A" district status and increased its state ranking from 19 to 14 (out of 67 districts). Brevard also outranked the state in the percentage of A/B schools and celebrated 23 schools that increase in letter grades this past year.
