November 2018
A Note From Interim Executive Director
Hasse Leonard-Pagel, PhD
Dear ,

Ann Martin Center has been in a season of transition. From updating technological systems to new additions to AMC leadership, we are confident these changes will position Ann Martin Center to better serve the children and youth in the Bay Area.

We began the school year welcoming Cynthia Dimon, Director of School-Based Services, who has been stellar in her role. Her skills and experience enrich our program and we are grateful she has joined us at Ann Martin Center. We also welcomed Amy McPartland as our HR Director earlier this year, and a short bio of her is below.

This year we are expanding our reach by pursuing new collaborative partners & strategic alliances, such as Urban Promise Academy (UPA) and Berkeley Unified School District. Our mobile therapy services continue to provide critical psychotherapy services to children & youth who have limited transportation. As for future opportunities, we are building bridges with faith-based communities, medical clinics, and homeless shelters.

In the Community Education Program, we have partnered with the Emery Unified School District to reduce barriers for parents & caregivers to access our free parenting workshops such as childcare and Spanish translation. Through these free workshops, we aim to empower parents & caregivers with key tools and strategies to raise healthy, well-rounded children.

When I think about the social & emotional well-being of the children in our community, I am grateful to be a part of the solution. We all must come together to help the youth & children of tomorrow, and your support makes a difference. Thank you for being part of our village.

Sincerely,

Hasse Leonard-Pagel, PhD
Interim Executive Director
