Help bring haunted tours to life at the Ravenswood Historic Site.


Volunteers (ages 16+, or 13+ with a parent/guardian) will wear their own spooky costumes, interact with guests, and be part of the behind-the-scenes fun.

Monthly Projects


LARPD Rangers offer hands-on volunteer work days in the park. Help with trail maintenance, litter pick-up, and removing invasive plants to keep the park beautiful and healthy for people and wildlife.


Be ready to hike, get a little dirty, and enjoy the outdoors! Volunteers should bring water, sun protection, and gloves (if available).

Native Garden Work Days

Support local ecology and learn about native plants while volunteering in our beautiful demonstration gardens.


Tasks vary seasonally and may include weeding, mulching, planting, and more. No gardening experience needed—just a willingness to help!

Tools and gloves provided.

California Native Oak Day Celebration


The California Native Oak Day celebrates our iconic native oaks! Volunteers (ages 13+) will assist with crafts, prep activities, and support the guided hike by helping spot questions or collect acorns along the trail. No nature knowledge needed—just bring your curiosity, hiking shoes, and a helpful spirit.

Ho Ho Holiday Carnival

Help us bring festive cheer to Sycamore Grove Park! Volunteers (ages 14+) are needed for two shifts: help set up and decorate from 12–4 p.m., or run carnival games and activities from 4–7:30 p.m. Holiday attire encouraged for the evening shift—warm clothes and good cheer required!
