FALL 2015 In This Issue:
Hello! We hope this newsletter
finds  you well.  There are a lot of
exciting  things  happening at the office and  we're delighted to share them with you. First of which is this newsletter! We're rolling out a
quarterly newsletter so  we  can stay in touch with our  patients about the latest techniques and offerings from our office. We look forward to seeing you in the near future.

The Lejour Technique for a Mastopexy, or breast uplift, entails an incision around the areola with a vertical limb only. There is no incision beneath the breast mound, hence patient familarity with and reference to this technique as the "lollipop" procedure. In a breast lift, excess skin not volume is the focus of the procedure and the Lejour technique with its use of limited incisions while simultaneously fashioning a beautiful breast shape reigns supreme.
The Dual Plane approach in Breast Augmentation combines the techniques of augmentation both beneath the muscle superiorly, or above, and the gland inferiorly, or below, thereby permitting a more natural "take-off" and shape of the breast while simultaneously allowing for the breast envelope to be filled as it exists. The result is a more pleasing aesthetic appearance of the breast oftentimes avoiding the need for an uplift in women with a sagging, or overtly ptotic, breast.

Jonathan Hilton Sherwyn, M.D., F.A.C.S.  is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery - the only board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialists to certify plastic surgeons. Dr. Sherwyn has extensive experience in performing many aesthetic procedures. Microneedling using the Rejuvapen
Uses 9 precisely spaced micro needles in a small cartridge to create invisible, vertical, micro perforations into the epidermis and the top layer of the dermis.
The skin shifts its natural repair mechanism into high gear and starts producing collagen and elastin to repair these micro-perforations.
Benefits: minimizes pore size, reduces fine lines & wrinkles, lifts, tightens & rejuvenates skin, improves the appearance of scars, acne scarring & stretch marks

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)
New technology based upon the premise that platelets have the potential to enhance the body's natural capacity for healing.
PRP may be used for purposes of volume replacement in most areas of the face and neck.

The only FDA-approved non-surgical, non-invasive treatment that uses ultrasound to lift and tighten loose skin on the face, neck, and decolletage.
Focused ultrasound energy stimulates the body's natural production of collagen and elastin to effect this outcome.

smiling-woman.jpg facelift  smoothes loose skin on your face and neck, tightens underlying tissues and removes excess fat thereby correcting the visible signs of aging. Deep cheek folds, jowls, lax skin on the front and sides of your neck as well as the cord-like structures in your neck may be successfully addressed in this fashion. Traditionally, facelifts were reserved for older patients and regarded as a way to "repair" an advanced aging deformity. But today, many patients are requesting procedures to rejuvenate the face at a younger age, all with the goal of maintaining - not regaining - a youthful appearance.  Learn More
