Nassan's Place would like to thank our sponsors: Excel Sports Management, Focus for Health Foundation, United Healthcare Community Plan.

And the donors, attendees and honorees for helping to make our "Annual Community Appreciation Gala & 6 Year Anniversary an amazing and inspirational evening as we honored some extraordinary individuals , organizations and corporations that are helping to enrich and make a difference in the lives of children and families affected by Autism in and around under-served inner-city communities.

The honorees included Vinnie Brown and Kaygee Gist of Naughty by Nature and Illtownsluggaz, Rev. Dr. Lloyd and Marguerite Terrell of Franklin St' John UMC, Montclair Drifters, Cheryl and Nathaniel Parris of CNP Treasures, Geri Woods-Coles, John Westervelt, CEO of the Catholic Charities of the Newark Diocese.
We also recognized and honored 4 amazing "Autism Dads Who Rock": Rodney Jenkins, Raplh Horne, Damon Farms and Larry Crump, Esq.

The evening included amazing food, music, and a phenonmenal performance by the beautiful and talented Illtownsluggaz artist and finalist on the Fox 5 hit show " The Four", Leah Jenea singing her amazing and inspirational single "Perfectly Imperfect"

Guest included New Jersey's Lieutenant Governor, Shelia Oliver, Karl Towns, father of NBA superstar, Karl Anthony Towns, Assemblywoman Britnee Timberlake, Newark Council Preisdent Mildred Crump.

Nassan's Place, President & Founder, Nadine Wright-Arbubakrr along with TeeRico by Lin Manuel Miranda, Montclair Film, the First Congregational Church of Montclair and GrassRoots Foundation were honored and recognized for the great work they provide in the community.

It was a unforgettable and inspiring evening of phenonmenal performances by the talented performers of the Vanguard Theater Company, great food, music and a special performance by Vanguard Theater's former student, Leah Jenea who performed her inspiring single,
"Perfectly Imperfect".

Thank you, Vanguard Theater for all the great work you do and for allowing Nassan's Place be a part of it.

Participates in New Jersey Kids Fashion Week

For the second year , Nassan's Place children their siblings and family members took to the runway and participated in New Jersey Kids Fashion Week. 
Nassan's Place would like to "Thank" the founder of New Jersey Kids Fashion Week , Josie Payote for giving children affected by Autism the same opportunities as any other kid and for including them in a wonderful and memorable event and experience.
` Children affected by Autism can do anything any other child can do if just given the opporunity.
We would like to "Thank" our Awesome volunteers, Haley and Bella for giving their time to volunteer and help make the day and experience fun and relaxing for the children.

Nassan's Place would like to "Thank" Amare Terrell aka NJ Soup and Stephan Gibson for donating a portion of the proceeds from the evening of their amazing event "All Black Affair, Autism Fundraiser.

It was an unforgettable evening with great people, music and Autism Awareness.

The highlight of the evening was a phenonmenal performance by the beautiful and talented Illtownsluggaz artist and a finalist on the hit Fox 5 Show, "The Four", Leah Jenea performing her inspirational single, Perfectly Imperfect".


Saturday Inclusion Enrichment Progrom
10/6 - 11/10/18
Children affected by Autism and their siblings enjoyed a 5 Week Saturday Inclusion Enrichment Program at Langston Hughes School in East Orange, NJ.

The 5 sessions included music therapy provided by So I Heard Music, Lego building provided by Brick4 Kidz, Occupational Therapy by a licensed therapist, recreation, story and computer time, a community outing and lunch.

Annual Masquerade Celebration in conj with the Orange Elks Lodge#135

Children and families affected by Autism enjoyed our "Annual Masquerade Celebration.
It was a fun filled day of music, food, face-painting and surprises.
Children enjoyed decorating foam pumpkins and their very own trick or treat bags. 
Thank you to Joanne Lopez and Boiling Springs Savings Bank for their support, donation of trick and treat and for joining us for the day.
$5 Sensory Friendly Movie Day at CityPlex12
November 10, 2018
Nassan's Place would like to "Thank" the generous anonymous donor that donated half of the movie cost for Nassan's Place families to attend our 'Sensory Friendly Movie Day" for the showing of "The Grinch" complete with popcorn, drink and fruit snack.
A fun time was had by all.
