Fall/Winter Arts Special!
|
|
Hi!
Welcome to the first installment of the Providence District Arts Special! We are so fortunate to have such a vibrant arts community right here in and around our district. My hope is to be able to share and promote their wonderful performances and opportunities with you on a regular basis. In this inaugural issue of the Providence—A Work of heART, you will find performances by local groups, visiting artists, and our very own high school students. With our arts and performing arts community working hard to recover and bring us joy this holiday season, I hope you will consider supporting and engaging in these fantastic opportunities (and I may see you at some in person myself!).
My plan is to share performances in a bi-annual basis, so please let us know if we’ve missed some that you’d like us to include in the spring/summer issue.
Let the show begin!

"When Delia, an ambitious journalist, receives anonymous articles about Mexican-Americans claiming to have hidden Jewish roots, she is intrigued, even if it means returning to her native town in New Mexico to investigate. She's on the outs with her editor/ex-boyfriend, and he wants her to say the story is a myth to save her job. But her estranged family, her mysterious dreams, and an alluring Crypto-Jew keep pointing her inward to a surprising truth. Will Delia be able to finish her story -- not just the one she was sent to write, but her own?"
