JRG Rocks
Summer 2025 – JRG continued its sponsorship of the Hollister Summer Concert Series, featuring tribute bands, local wine, and local food vendors at the amazing Guerra Cellars venue.
JRG Congratulates Ron Granberg, Honoree of Justice Nat Agliano Lifetime Achievement Award
September 17 – JRG was pleased to congratulate and celebrate Ron Granberg, who was awarded the 2025 Justice Nat Agliano Lifetime Achievement Award by the Monterey County Bar Association at the Fall Bench Bar event.
JRG Relay for Life Team
September 20 – the JRG team showed up in force to support Salinas Valley Relay for Life, an event of the American Cancer Society. JRG has been participating in the Salinas Valley Relay for Life event since 1999. This year, we received 3 recognition awards:
- Team member Silvia Rivera, who has long been actively involved as a team captain, fundraiser, and torch bearer, was awarded the Leadership Recognition Award.
- For our efforts and dedication, Salinas Valley Relay for Life awarded JRG the 2025 Team Award.
- For our beautiful tent, JRG received the 2025 Best Themed Tent Award.
We congratulate and thank Silvia Rivera for all of the personal hours she dedicated to the Salinas Chapter of the American Cancer Society and the 2025 JRG Relay for Life team, our leadership – Jason Retterer, Craig Cox and Betty Martinez – for sponsoring all our fundraising activities, and our JRG staff for their dedication and support.

Ingrid Morales joins the JRG team as a paralegal specializing in family law. Ingrid is bilingual in English and Spanish. She possesses a strong work ethic and enjoys providing legal assistance to our clients in need. Ingrid holds an associate’s degree in paralegal studies from Heald College.
| | JRG is pleased to congratulate Nathalia Carrillo on her election to the role of President of the Board of Trustees of the Salinas Union High School District. Nathalia joined JRG in 2006 and leads the firm’s community outreach, involvement, and external affairs. A long standing member of Monterey County and the Salinas Valley, Nathalia has served in numerous community leadership roles, including Monterey County Planning Commission, City of Salinas Planning Commission, and City of Salinas Traffic Commission. She became the SUHSD Trustee Area 3 board member in 2022 and will serve as president beginning in 2026. | |

We have all been drawn to the flashy billboards with catchy lawyers’ names and phrases staring down at us as we drive down the highway. These “Billboard Lawyers” advertise themselves as the best “Personal Injury Lawyers” out there, touting themselves as highly successful and having recovered huge sums of money for their injured clients. Claiming to be the best and being the best are not the same.
