Paula Roland,
New Forest Floors,
encaustic monotype collage, graphite frottage, and pigmented wax

Dear Friends,

Time is running out to sign up for one of my Fall workshops. I am offering Encaustic Monotoypes in Santa Fe and Carbon Lab Workshops in both Chicago and Santa Fe. See the schedule below and follow the links to my brand new RolandWorkshops.com website!

The Carbon Lab Workshops (graphite in several forms, inks, charcoal, and other carbon materials + encaustic) are experimental and a great way to loosen up or find new direction. I have worked with graphite powder and pencil, both carbon, with various media since the 1980s. Its granular and reflective qualities have inspired conceptual, metaphoric, and ecological explorations in my works, as seen in the large collage above.

Attending the IEA Retreat? Ask about a one time member discount for my Encaustic Monotype Workshop following the retreat. Studying with me, you will get professional, in-depth instruction and guidance about incorporating monotypes with your practice.
Also, please attend the Friday afternoon panel where I will join in a discussion about galleries in Santa Fe.

I'm looking forward to seeing you in Santa Fe or Chicago!
Have a wonderful transition to Fall,
Paula
