Fall is Here - What to do in the Yard Now

The beginning of fall has been fantastic and it's the perfect time to get out in the yard to prepare for cooler days.

Water, Water, Water

From now until freeze up, it's important to provide trees and evergreens with a weekly deep root watering.

Set your garden hose at a slow trickle at the dripline of the tree (the spot right beneath the outermost branches), OR use a Root Irrigator ($39.99). These watering devices have a long handle prong that goes far beneath the soil level, driving water deep where it's required.

Fertilize Your Yard

Lily Bulb Sale this Saturday!

The Alberta Regional Lily Society will be hosting a lily bulb sale at Greenland on Saturday, Sept. 26th from 10am-3pm.
