Dear St. Andrew’s Youth & Families,
Happy fall! As school routines settle in, we’re excited to lean into a new season of growing in faith, friendship, and service. Whether you were with us at the Youth Kickoff or you’re just jumping back in—there’s a place for you here. This fall we’ll gather for worship and small groups, serve our community, and make space for real questions and real life with Jesus at the center.
Keep reading for upcoming dates, confirmation info, our quick parent survey (help us plan!), and ways to plug in—even if you’re brand new.

Youth Confirmation Retreat
Sunday, January 11 from 10:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at St. Andrew's.
&
Volunteering at the Free Store Saturday, January 17
What is confirmation?
Confirmation is a sacramental rite in which the candidates "express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop" (BCP, p. 860). Those who were baptized at an early age are expected to make a mature public affirmation of their faith, recommit themselves to the responsibilities of their baptism, and receive laying on of hands by a bishop (BCP, p. 412).
What age does my child need to be in order to be confirmed?
The short answer is whenever your child is ready to make a mature commitment to Christ, as stated above. Most youth participate in confirmation when they are in 8th grade and above.
If your child would like to participate in the youth confirmation retreat,
