Welcome Back to The NEST!

Pictured left to right: SU intern Carson Dorsey, NEST volunteers George & Barbara Hejtmanek, and Troy University Social Work intern Lexy Gramling

We were so excited to welcome students back to our after-school program at The NEST on Thursday August 19th!

Long time volunteers from San Gabriel Presbyterian Church, George and Barbara, worked with our NEST interns to decorate and provide a fantastic meal that included BBQ sandwiches from The Pit and ice cream for dessert. San Gabriel Presbyterian Church has supported The NEST for many years, planning and throwing NEST parties, providing scholarships for NEST graduates, as well as walking with the NESTlings on Wellness Wednesdays.

We love our volunteers! Find out more about volunteering here.
