The Fall at Farmsteads is a time of transition, joining together, and celebrating!

Thank you to all who contributed to our Annual Auction and Clambake

A great success; final numbers are still being tallied but we are seeing numbers that doubled last years event and are so thankful to those who made this event such a fun and successful evening!

Coming up: Giving Tuesday

As we enter the holiday season we give thanks to those who support us, we are able to thrive and expand with the loving support from YOU! This Giving Tuesday, on December 3rd, please consider a donation to Farmsteads. We continue to work towards our 2024 fund-a-need goal of building a new outdoor pavilion space and this is our last fundraising push through the holidays to meet this goal. Visit our page today for ways to help us meet this goal!

Annual trunk-or-treat with hayrides, costumes, and 'It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.’

We held our annual day of spooky fun with farmers from both Epping and Hillsborough! Farmers and staff alike dressed up in costume for the day of fun. Several vehicles came together for the annual trunk-or-treat (including our friends from the Hillsborough Police Department). Folks enjoyed a hayride, great food at the farmhouse, pumpkin decorating, and a showing of 'It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown'.

Epping's Fall Adventures

Epping farmers took advantage of some beautiful Fall weather and got out on some fun adventures!

They visited Hillsborough for the trunk-or-treat, picked apples at Apple Annie's, and visit Haunted Overload for a walk- always a favorite!

The farmers continue to spend time at the library, volunteer at a local shelter, and take horseback riding lessons!

Hillsborough Through the Changing Season

Ten Acre Farm hosted corn maze special for Farmsteads staff and farmers- we had the pleasure of being hosted by a new local merchant, Ten Acre Farm. Our farmers and staff were able to get out and enjoy a morning of fall fun meandering through a corn maze. Thank you Ten Acre Farm!

Hillsborough also got to celebrate the spooky holidays with hay rides, trunk-or-treat and pumpkin carving.

Around the Farm

Farmstand Updates:

We are beginning to stock up for the holidays and have an inventory of nesting balls (back by popular demand), dog treats, rice packs, marbled notecards, soap, and handmade wreaths!

We still have limited stock of winter squash and, as always, a freezer full of fresh local beef and pork.

The Winter farmstand is still in the works, anticipated opening in early December!

Animal Updates:

The chickens have been moved into the small greenhouse for grazing over the Winter, keeping them a bit warmer and keeping our egg supply going strong!

There has been a male goat introduced to the ladies, hoping for some new kids around the farm in the Spring.

The pigs are almost full grown and we are looking forward to re-stocking the freezer soon with new cuts available for sale!

Special Rides for Special People

On Sunday October 13th we put forth our first annual Special Ride For Special People (Jeep Style) event. Each of our participating farmers and staff were able to join forces with Jeep Girl Mafia (NH Chapter) for an adventurous Jeep ride. Farmers got to ride up front with their drivers and enjoy a Jeep ride through the backroads and backwoods of New Hampshire. Each farmer and staff member also received a special gift from the Jeepers to commemorate the experience. After the ride everyone came together for great food and conversation. Beginning next year, the Jeep Girl Mafia will conduct this ride a fundraiser for Farmsteads.
