Year-Round Support for Our
Year-Round Community
While many friends, families and guests enjoy Lakeside in the summer, Lakeside runs all-year long. Many homeowners live here year-round and a number of full-time staff work diligently to manage ongoing business and plan for next year.

Some of the many tasks that are completed during the fall, winter and spring include reflecting on the past year and ways to improve; fundraising; planning recreation, cultural arts, religious and educational programs; maintenance of the grounds; hosting off-season events; marketing and website updates; and implementing the budget.

COVID-19 has impacted many of our processes and procedures. However, it has in no way ceased the annual operations that occur year-round.

Although the Chautauqua season is only a few months, Lakeside runs all year long just any other nonprofit organization. By giving a monthly or one-time gift to the Lakeside Annual Fund, you're helping to provide a stable source of revenue to our Chautauqua program, beautiful gardens, historic buildings and many other year-long critical needs of our special community. Thank you for your support.
Lakeside's website features a page specifically for Homeowner & Campground Updates. We invite you to view the page frequently for new information regarding trash & recycling, fall leaf pick up schedule, house watch and more.
Keep up with your workout routine this fall. Lakeside homeowners are eligible for a Wellness Center subscription plan, which includes usage of the Magruder Hospital Fitness Room from Sept. 8, 2020-May 27, 2021. Read more.
Off-Season Business Hours
Even though the summer has come and gone, Lakeside is still bustling. Take some time this fall, winter and spring to visit Lakeside and explore the community during our peaceful off-season. View the 2020-2021 off-season business hours here.

Perry Park Playground
An exciting upgrade to Perry Park this fall is a new inclusive playground designed by Midstates Recreation specifically for Lakeside.

This special enhancement to Perry Park has been made possibly through the generous support of the Mark & Jane Grindley Family. Mark and Jane continue to focus their support on improving areas of Lakeside to be accessible for all to enjoy. Read more here.
Clergy Renewal Scholarship
In the biblical tradition, keeping Sabbath is essential to maintaining a relationship with God. Lakeside provides a scholarship for clergy of the East or West Ohio United Methodist Church Conferences to rest, renew and deepen the spiritual lives of clergy. The scholarship provides up to three overnight stays at the Fountain Inn, which can't be used between Memorial Day through Labor Day. The deadline to apply is October 10 and February 1.
