An abundance of fall fun at the IPM

The International Plowing Match and Rural Expo is coming to Dufferin County. From September 19 to 23, the 104th IPM will welcome residents and visitors to the fields of Bowling Green and Laurel. This highly-anticipated event runs form 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and promises a unique experience for everyone.

Celebrate agriculture and rural living

The IPM will transform our local fields into a tented city with plowing competition venues, entertainment, hundreds of vendors and exhibitors, a wide variety of food, and a RV Park. For more information, visit our event calendar or the official show guide.

Discover the many reasons to visit Dufferin County

As you wander through the event grounds, follow the sounds of celebration to the Dufferin County tent. Stop in to sample tastes from local eateries while you view displays from Dufferin County artists and listen to live music and broadcasts from Country 105. Meet Susan and Tony Reynolds

This creative couple has lived in the area for 43 years and spent 15 of those years right here in Orangeville. Susan has been a friendly face at the Visitor Information Centre and a curator for the art displayed in the Opera House lobby. Tony is a freelance writer and has been a contributor to In The Hills magazine for more than 25 years. Both are active in supporting the local arts community.

When asked why they love Orangeville, they said, "Orangeville is a supportive, diverse and inclusive community rich in heritage and culture. It has a vibrant arts scene that includes visual art and live theatre. The preservation of the beautiful historic downtown and surrounding landscape attracts artists, writers, musicians and performers. It’s home!"

Connect to Create

Inspiration to ignite creativity in yourself

and with others

On October 4th, the Town of Orangeville is inviting local artists and creative entrepreneurs to “Connect to Create" with Chelsea Johnson. Using her experience as a creative coach, teacher, performer and podcaster, Chelsea will inspire and empower participants to take risks with their creativity, embrace their authenticity, and learn from fellow artists. You will learn to:

  1. Design your life in a way that serves your creative goals.
  2. Identify and bridge the gaps that keep you from having the creative life you envision.
  3. Confidently connect and network with other artists and creative entrepreneurs.
  4. Foster ongoing creative collaborations within the community.
