UPDATE FROM OUR CEO

October 2024 Newsletter

Happy October,

I hope everyone has a safe and productive hunting season as we prepare for another Wyoming winter. Things have not slowed down, here in Natrona County and I encourage everyone to look at all the new construction that continues here. We have plenty queued up and ready to go for 2025 including the SLIB board just approving a nearly 9 million dollar grant to the city of Evansville for the new Mesa campus. This project has the highest number of retained jobs and the highest number of created jobs in Business Committed grant history and it has wages 30.6% higher than Natrona County's median wage. Advance Casper and its board have been involved in this project for over a year and voted unanimously to participate in the monetary match for the town of Evansville. Earlier in the year Advance Casper participated in another successful grant application for the city of Casper to take utilities up to the property surrounding the new WYO Sports Ranch and Ford Wyoming Center to support the halo of new business growth that will be surrounding those facilities in the coming years. We are going to see a massive change in these areas of Natrona County as we continue on our positive trajectory. There is plenty of ongoing interest in our area and we continue to host new businesses wanting to expand or relocate here as well.

Thank you to everyone who participated in and attended Advance Casper's first Start-up Challenge. With the sudden exit of Impact307 and the rejection of our RFP from the state, the Advance Casper board elected to host this year's challenge along with the EDJPB, TW Foundation, and several other contributing partners. We had over 40 applicants and $65K in prize money for our finalists that will help them jumpstart and grow their business. The judges faced difficult decisions during the final pitch night, with a standing-room-only crowd at Frontier Brewing Company.

We also had a successful Quarterly Cocktails held at 5150 The Range, thank you to everyone who attended this event and we look forward to seeing you at the Quarterly Breakfast on October 17th.

Please let us know if you have any questions or need anything.

Best,

Justin
