It has been a long hot summer and we miss seeing many of you in our store. Now that Fall has arrived at In Between Stitches-well inside our store, we hope to see you again! Leslie has done a wonderful job on the front windows, with loads of fall decor including apples, leaves, and even children's clothes. We have been adding in more clothing patterns and books with the popularity of our sewing classes. We have quite a few quilts and table runners to inspire you in the front window as well.

The class Preview Party held at the Purple Orchid Resort and Spa on Tuesday August 12 was a huge success, and we are continuing to take sign-ups for our classes. Remember to sign up early so we won't have to tell you the class is full or even canceled. The sooner you sign-up for classes the better, nothing disappoints us more than to have three people call at the last minute to register-after we have already canceled the class.

Have you made a plan to attend Quilting in the Garden Saturday September 27-28 at Alden Lane Nursery. This is a wonderful outdoor quilt show that occurs every September. This year we have Jean Wells as our featured guest. There are loads of classes leading up to the quilt show. More details are available online. Lynn Wilder of Sew'n Wild Oaks will be teaching her Once Upon a Vine quilt and Lisa Norton of Material Girlfriends will be teaching Under the Oaks.

The Good, Bag and Ugly Challenge projects are due no later than September 15 to be entered in Quilting in the Garden. Be sure to have a label on the back of your quilt and when you drop off the quilt there is a form for you to sign and keep a receipt. We are excited about the challenge quilts. Everyone has done an amazing job. The comments from the participants have ranged from Fun, Fun, Fun, to it allowed me to be creative and free while designing. We will be having voting during the show for the Good, Bag, and Ugly Challenge. Please be sure to pick up a voting slip and vote for your favorite!
