JLGolf High School Development
Winter Training Program

Starts February 16th!
The 2019 JLG High School Development program is for junior golfers looking to have a solid process for improvement and preparation for high school/college golf, or to make golf a lifelong sport in general!!  Consistent, weekly practice sessions is needed to learn ANY skill, sport, instrument, etc. Golf is NO DIFFERENT!!

WHO this program for:
  • Golfers 8th-12th grade
  • Desire to improve their golf games for high school play and beyond!
  • Become more efficient when you play, work towards breaking 100, 90, or 80 step by step
WHAT:
  • 2-hour weekly practices (Winter only 1.5 hours)
  • Every practice/training day will have a different focus. All geared toward building strong and consistent fundamentals, lowering scores and learning how to compete. Examples of a typical practice may include 2-3 of the following:
  • Short Game drills and better club selection game plans
  • Putting Improvement - distance control, alignment and green reading strategies
  • Solid ball striking foundation & distance control with irons
  • Learn the rules
  • Small groups (winter indoors 2 juniors, 3 maximum)
  • JLGolf Gear
WHEN:
Practice #1 begins *Saturday or Sunday, February 16th/17th 12:30-2pm
*Saturday Session is FULL
-or- Wednesday's 3:30-5pm February 20th *additional time/day just added
GOLF FITNESS Group Classes at OCC
Get your golf muscles moving and learn some new exercises at the JLGolf "Golf Fitness" 1-hour sessions. The second class will be this Sunday, February 10th at 10AM-11AM. Join us!

Class will be set up in a circuit-style setting. Each motion will be specific to golf movement and necessary muscles. There will be a mixture of balance, stability and flexibility exercises in each circuit routine. The classes will be in small groups for a relaxed, encouraging environment for all to enjoy!

Indoor Game Improvement
The best time of the year to work on mechanical changes, improving fundamentals, fitness and technique is during the off season! The JLGolf Studio will be open during the winter months for indoor lessons, golf fitness, JLG HS Team Practices and more!

Rule 14.3 Now shows that there will be a relief "area". As you can see from above, you take club lengths around your drop line on both sides to form a half-circle as your "relief area". Penalty strokes give you 2-club lengths, free drops give you 1-club length.
