Get ready for a great season of programs and activities! Spring registration opens Wednesday, March 4, at 9 a.m. This registration includes programs running in April, May, and June, plus summer day camps.


Want to plan ahead? Preview spring programs starting Tuesday, February 25, at 9 a.m. Browse options early, build your wish list, and be ready when registration opens!

Get Ready for February’s Teen Late Night!


Looking for a fun, safe way for your middle schooler to spend an evening? Lacey Teen Late Nights are the perfect opportunity for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to hang out with friends and enjoy an action-packed night! Each event features a DJ, karaoke, video games, 3-on-3 basketball, inflatables, contests, and prizes. There’s something for everyone! Events are open to all students living in the NTPS district, including private and home-schooled students.


A valid student ID is required for entry, and pre-registration is required with no exceptions. Registration closes at 5 p.m. on the day of the event, and no refunds are available.

Creativity Corner: A Buzz of Creativity Awaits!


Celebrate the season at the Lacey Museum with a fun, hands-on craft that’s perfect for all ages! This March, Creativity Corner is all about bees — create your own buzzing bumblebee to take home and welcome spring with a splash of creativity.


This free activity is a great way to spend time together, explore your artistic side, and celebrate the beauty of the season.

Experience the diverse heritage that makes our community shine at the Lacey Cultural Celebration! Enjoy lively music and dance performances from local and regional groups, explore traditions from around the world through interactive displays, and purchase delicious foods and items from a variety of vendors. Kids can jump into hands-on crafts, too. It’s a joyful, family-friendly event with something for everyone!

Chief Leschi, Governor Isaac Stevens, and the Medicine Creek Treaty of 1854


In this presentation, historian Drew Crooks will explore the life and legacy of Chief Leschi, the famous Nisqually leader, and Isaac Stevens, Governor of Washington Territory. He will also examine the pivotal Medicine Creek Council of 1854 that brought these two men together. The resulting Medicine Creek Treaty had profound consequences in the 19th century and continues to shape our region and its Native and non-Native communities today.

Drew Crooks earned a bachelor’s degree in history and anthropology and a master’s degree in museum studies from the University of Washington. For over 35 years, he has worked with museums in South Puget Sound, authored numerous articles and five books on regional heritage, and presented history talks to schools and community groups.

Save the Date: 2026 Kids Fishing Event – Reel in the Fun!


Bring the kids out for a day of fishing, learning, and outdoor fun at Longs Pond! This hands-on event is perfect for ages 4–14. Participants will get to cast a line, learn fishing tips from volunteers, and enjoy the great outdoors. Each registered child receives a rod and reel to keep!

Bricks 4 Kidz Junior & Advanced Robotics (6-14 years)


Give your child the ultimate STEM experience! Bricks 4 Kidz Robotics introduces kids to real-world engineering and programming through hands-on learning and fun challenges. Each week, students will design and build dynamic robotic creations using LEGO® Spike Prime technology and Bricks 4 Kidz exclusive model plans. Then, they’ll bring their robots to life by programming them on tablets to perform amazing tasks!


With age-appropriate challenges for beginners and advanced learners, this six-week program is perfect for kids who love to build, code, and problem-solve. It’s an exciting way to spark creativity and innovation while learning the fundamentals of robotics and coding.

Groove and Move: Beginner Hip Hop (6-12 years)


Looking for a high-energy activity your child will love? Groove & Move: Beginner Hip Hop is the perfect way for kids to get active, build confidence, and express themselves through dance! This upbeat class introduces basic hip hop technique, musicality, and freestyle skills in a fun, welcoming environment. Dancers will learn choreography, explore creative movement, and enjoy staying active with every session. Please bring water.

Hip Hop Step Aerobics (16+ years)


Hip hop step is back at the Lacey Community Center. This high-energy aerobics class combines classic step routines with a fun hip hop vibe and music that keeps the energy up from start to finish. Expect big movement, strong beats, and a workout that will have you sweating and smiling.


No experience is required. Just bring your own step, water, and be ready to move. Please note that music may include explicit lyrics.

Youth Beginning Acting (5-11 years)


Looking for a fun, engaging activity for your child? Youth Beginning Acting is the perfect way for kids to explore the world of theater in a supportive, playful environment. Through storytelling, improvisation games, and skill-building exercises, young actors will learn the foundations of theater while boosting confidence and creativity.


No prior experience is needed — all levels are welcome!

Spring Break Express Day Camp (6-12 years)

 

Looking for a safe, engaging way for your child to spend Spring Break? Spring Break Express Day Camp is packed with activities kids love — games, arts and crafts, singing, dancing, and even performances! Our experienced recreation staff (the same team from our popular summer camps) will keep campers active, entertained, and supervised all day long.

 

Please send your child with a sack lunch and morning/afternoon snacks each day.

North Thurston High School Spring Soccer Camp (8–13 years)


Get ready to kick off the season with North Thurston Soccer Program! This high-energy camp offers a safe, fun, and challenging environment for young players to grow their skills. Each session focuses on building strong fundamentals, mastering principles of play, and learning game-winning tactics through exciting, game-like drills that keep kids moving and engaged!


Class Details: Apr. 6 – 9

Master Na’s Martial Arts


Master Na returns to offer beginner Taekwondo and Kinder-Karate classes for youth, plus kickboxing and self-defense classes for adults! These 8-class sessions are the perfect introduction to martial arts, helping participants improve health, coordination, and confidence in a welcoming environment.

  • Beginner Taekwondo (6–12 yrs): Monday/Wednesday, 4 – 4:45 p.m.

Floorball (6–17 years)


Ready to try something totally new? Floorball is a high-energy, floor hockey-style sport that’s sweeping the globe! Featured in the 2017 World Games and eyeing the 2028 Summer Olympics, this fast-paced game is easy to learn and packed with excitement. Players will pick up skills and strategies, then hit the court for thrilling match play. Grab your stick and join the fun! There is no class on Thursday, April 9.
