Black History Month is an annual month-long celebration honoring African American life, history and culture. It became a national month-long observance in 1976, dedicated to recognizing the significant contributions of Black Americans to the United States.
On February 1st, Richton Park will be holding their Black History Celebration -The Performing Arts at 4455 Sauk Trail. Hosted by Richton Park's Human Relations Commission, you can expect great LIVE entertainment, special exhibits, activities, guest speakers, performances, vendors and more!
The Village of Hazel Crest has a Black History Celebration taking place on February 8th at 3601 West 183rd Street, which promises to be a program laced with exciting performances, gospel artists and vendors.
