Harmony Public Schools celebrates black history this month and every day. Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. history.

Since 1976, every American president has designated February as Black History Month and endorsed a specific theme.

The Black History Month 2023 theme, “Black Resistance,” explores how "African Americans have resisted historic and ongoing oppression, in all forms, especially the racial terrorism of lynching, racial pogroms and police killings," since the nation's earliest days.

HSA - Waco Has a Song in Their Hearts

Harmony Science Academy - Waco's Tiger Chorale had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the Baylor University vs Texas Tech basketball game under the direction of Jeremy Wallace. They did an amazing job and you can check out the performance by clicking on the video!

Crack Open a Book with HSA - Plano

Harmony Science Academy - Plano's recent book fair was a huge success! Students and their families came out to browse the many titles available and pick up some new reads. From picture books to young adult novels, there was something for everyone. Not only did the book fair help foster a love of reading in our students, but it also supported the school's literacy programs.

HSA - Plano would like to thank the staff and volunteers for their hard work, they're the ones that made this event possible!

You Can't Stop the Beat with HSA - Fort Worth

Harmony Science Academy - Fort Worth's dance group performed a routine titled "Millennium Takeover" at a regional competition and received the Diamond Award. They will now have the opportunity to go to Nationals this summer in Missouri. Congratulations!

HSA - Plano Secures 2nd at Destination Imagination Regionals Competition

The Harmony Science Academy - Plano Destination Imagination team made a fantastic showing at the regional competition, securing a well-deserved second place finish.

Their hard work and dedication paid off, and their performance was a true testament to their talent and drive.

The Flying Tigers Make History

Harmony School of Innovation - Euless's drone team, the Flying Tigers, have made history! The incredible team triumphed over middle and high school competitors to secure a spot in the national championship of the Aerial Drone Competition.

The students' hard work and dedication paid off, earning them both the Tournament Champion title and the Judges Award - a remarkable feat, especially considering that we were the only elementary school team at the tournament.
