I want to thank everyone who reached out to inquire about our Tokyo experience and to congratulate the team on their success at the games. With this being the 5th Paralympic Games that I have attended, it ranks as one of the best experiences that I have had and also one of the most challenging. I hope that many of you were able to watch on television or follow the games online to see how spectacular it was.
Tokyo and the Japanese people provided an amazing platform for the athletes to perform brilliantly. They did not disappoint. Many stellar results were seen across all sports.
Our Spokane based track and field athletes performed extremely well with Jaleen Roberts winning 2 silver medals and Hannah Dederick closely missing out on a bronze by mere 100ths of a second. Watch Jaleen's stellar 100m race on YouTube below. A full recap of ParaSport Spokane athletes and alumni can be found at

Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Hawaii and Alaska were well represented at the games! It is a testament to how engaged and supportive the landscape is for sport and recreation opportunities for persons with a disability. There's still much more to be done. Let's chat about what we all can do as a collective.
