Bloomboard LBS1 Certification Program

Many districts across Illinois (and the country) are experiencing a shortage of trained, certified educators in special education. In response, I am excited to share with you a new cost-effective, on-the-job LBS1 Certification Program.

Unlike traditional certification programs, this 12-credit-hour program allows your teachers to earn their certification completely on the job! They will earn credit while showing what they know in their actual classroom practice and applying what they learn immediately. Please visit here for more information.

Grand Canyon University Partnership

Due to the demand for special education teachers, we will be expanding our November Cohort beyond the LBS1 endorsement. This month we will be promoting enrollment into all of our Special Education programs. Support/Classified staff and parents looking for licensure can enroll into our Bachelors or Maters programs. Certified staff looking for the LBS1 Endorsement or a Special Education Masters have options as well.

Also, last month’s ESL Cohort filled up before some teachers could get in. We encourage the teachers who could not register for the ESL endorsement program last month to enroll this month so that they can be on track to complete their endorsement by next August while utilizing the scholarships we currently have available.

I am looking for 7 more students to join the November Cohort so that we can award them with the 25% off scholarship.
