Celebrate Culture Days 


Burlington is a designated hub for the nation-wide celebration of arts & culture during the 15th annual Culture Days on through October 13. There’s something for everyone from a public art exhibit at the Beachway, to a hands-on clay exhibit at the Art Gallery of Burlington, collage making at the Burlington Public Library, Celtic music open sessions, or an opportunity to take in a practice session of the world-famous Teen Tour Band.

The Great Pumpkin Trail 

Follow the candlelit glow of hundreds of jack-o-lanterns deep within recesses of the Royal Botanical Gardens on The Great Pumpkin Trail October 18-20, 25-27. This spook-tacular event promises an unforgettable evening filled with roaming entertainment, shows, games, activities, treats, and more! Costumes are highly encouraged.

Mountsberg’s Spooktacular Halloween 


Spooktacular is a unique Halloween experience that blends haunted fun with education, offering a chance to learn about the environment and wildlife. It runs through October 27 at Mountsberg Conservation area. Wear your costume and capture memories at one of the Halloween photo stations!

Fall into Nature Chairlifts & Hikes 


Ready to experience the colourful fall leaves at the height of their beauty? Fall Chairlift Rides at KelsoConservation area run weekends until October 27. Take a ride to the top of the hills to view the Escarpment, then hike the trails to see the leaves up close.

New: Pumpkins 10 Different Ways  


Check out the new Pumpkins 10 Different Ways at Blue Dot Acres, a small-scale farm and learning hub, and mix art with interesting facts about pumpkins. Walk the farm to visit 10 visual arts displays created by Burlington artists. Great at night, as some displays use UV paint! It runs October 18-19 and October 25-26.

Fall Farmers’ Markets 


Last chance to enjoy local fresh produce, baked goods and artisan creations at three seasonal farmers’ markets in Burlington: Burlington Centre Lions Farmers Market open Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays; Centro Farmer’s Market operating Sundays downtown; and the new Aldershot Farmers Market on Saturdays.

Last Free Walking Tours


Register for one of the last free walking tours in downtown Burlington this season and get acquainted – or reacquainted – with the city! 

  

Running Thursdays at 10:30am and 1:30pm and Saturdays at 1:30pm until October 12, the 2-hour leisurely walks give you a taste of Burlington’s cultural, waterfront, and culinary hidden gems. 

  

Meet outside the Visitor Information Centre at 414 Locust St. (underneath the waterfront parkade that is free on Saturdays!) 

  

Advanced registration is required, but walk-ups welcome as space allows. 

  

These walks are offered by Ontario Staycation Adventures and supported by Tourism Burlington.

Home to the largest collection of Canadian ceramics, the Art Gallery of Burlington is free to visit for creators and culture lovers of all ages. Check out artist David Harper’s Midnight exhibit, or attend the one-night-only art exhibit and party at REVEL24: The Ultimate Art Bash! on November 8.

The November concerts might be in Toronto, but the accessible hotel options are in Burlington. Santa(s) Coming to Town

Canada’s Original All-Santa Parade Race returns to Burlington on December 1, 2024! Presented by VR PRO Inc., the 3.5km fun run is guaranteed to bring festive cheer, laughter, and an unforgettable experience for participants of all ages. Velour Santa suit and beard included in the registration fee. The race starts at 1pm on the Santa Claus Parade route before the big guy arrives. Stay for the parade after the race and the kick-off to the holiday season. Make it a weekend of fun!
