We went back to school on August 31st and although it is not like past Fall semesters at NHTI, we are definitely just as busy as ever. That is why this is a few days late making it into your inbox, sorry.
As everyone is trying their best to adjust to remote learning, health and safety protocols, making new friends over Zoom, or standing 6' apart in line at Capital Commons, NHTI is here for our students. We are offering online programming to keep our students engaged, doing extra outreach through our tutoring and Academic Center for Excellence to help with academic work, and making sure those students with financial needs are supported.
We would not be able to do all of this without our alumni and community supporters. Thank you for taking the time to stay connected to NHTI. We appreciate you!

Alumni Spotlight - Rob Kleiner
Rob is a known man around town, in a good way. When he is not at work at Northeast Delta Dental, or spending time with his family, he can be found volunteering on various non-profit boards working to make the greater Concord area better for everyone.
As a lifelong learner, Rob values the education that NHTI provided him and continues to take classes with us today. You can read his blog post here.

This 4-part virtual speaker series invites you to explore how mindfulness can help us address challenges that have become central to our society over the last year. Personal and interpersonal insight can help build communities that foster connection, opportunity, health, and fulfillment.
All money raised through this series will support NHTI students through the NHTI Lynx Cupboard food pantry, NHTI Cares emergency fund, and The Presidents Fund book fund.

NHTI has updated it's Strategic Plan for 2020-2025 with a focus on (1) Student Success, (2) Workforce Development, (3) Institutional Effectiveness and Sustainability, and (4) Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Convocation was held on September 15th with keynote speaker Deo Mwano "We Are All Human – Persevere to Excel". You can watch the video here.

Jennifer Codding (Paralegal/1998) has been appointed as the Program Chair for The Profit Partners Chapter of Network Professionals International in Clearwater, Florida.
Dr. Richard Ruck (Criminal Justice/1994) had his article "Adaptations to Police Academy Facilities/Dormitories in a Post Covid-19 Environment." accepted for publication in the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.
Amanda Trainor (Paralegal/2003) has been hired by NHTI as the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Enrollment Specialist

Financially Impacted by Covid-19? |
We still have money available through the Governor’s Office for Emergency Relief and Recovery (GOFERR) to help pay for you to attend NHTI this fall. It is not too late to apply.
This money can be used to pay for tuition and fees for credit, non-credit and microcredential classes. It is not too late to do this. Our 8-week credit courses start October 26th.
