CA JOBLESS RATE DIPS
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California has regained more than a third of the 2.6 million nonfarm jobs the nation’s most populous state lost to the coronavirus pandemic in March and April, state officials said Friday. All told, seven of the 11 industry sectors improved in September, dropping the jobless rate to 11%, the California Employment Development Department reported.

CA WELCOME CENTER = VOTE CENTER
Your Vote Counts: The El Dorado County Registrar of Voters has an official Ballot Drop box inside the California Welcome Center, 2085 Vine Street, Ste. 105, which is adjacent to our Chamber inside El Dorado Hills Town Center. Election officials pick-up ballots daily and take them directly to the El Dorado County Elections Department. Our Welcome Center will become an official Vote Center with El Dorado County staff on October 31st -November 3rd/Election Day. Safe, social distancing guidelines are in place.

HARASSMENT TRAINING: We have partnered with the California Chamber of Commerce to bring you required California Harassment Prevention Training. Under the new law, SB 778, all employees, supervisory and non-supervisory, must be trained by January 1, 2021.

Why: We have received requests for in-person networking, and arranged an opportunity for a morning mixer with ample space and distancing to safely meet CDC guidelines. RSVP is required and attendance is limited, so we can follow social distancing guidelines at this in-person, outside event.
