A day full of Giving, Celebration and IMPACT!
Frisco Family Services' friends and supporters gathered together on Thursday, September 19th for an inspirational evening of mingling, lively music, food, and giving during our Community Caring Celebration! This event kicks off our Season of Community Caring during which Frisco Family Services raises funds for vital services and programs to help those in crisis in our Frisco and Frisco ISD community.
A special thank you to Magnolia Terrace for the gorgeous venue, and Market Street for decor, delicious bites and beverages.
A day made even more special by YOU!
September 19th also marked an annual day of giving in North Texas, where your gifts enabled us to meet our MATCH and exceed our GOAL of $85,000!

Frisco Family Services would like to extend a very special THANK YOU to everyone for making an IMPACT on our community with your CARING generosity!
Food For Thought...
Just since the start of our fiscal year (July 2019) , Frisco's only community Food Pantry has already provided almost 130,000 meals to families in crisis.

As our population continues to increase, so will the number of families seeking assistance.
Help Frisco Family Services continue meeting the needs of our neighbors in crisis.

Fall has begun, and the holiday season is just around the corner... Mark your calendars now and have an immediate and lasting IMPACT  on your local community by participating in our Community-wide Food Drive, on Saturday, November 2nd!

Board Spotlight - Kevin Peters
We would like to take a moment to recognize a member of our very valuable Board of Directors, Kevin Peters - currently serving his first year on Frisco Family Services’ Board of Directors.

“Frisco is still growing rapidly and with that, the need for the services that Frisco Family Services provides is increasing too,” said Kevin. Also stating that his goal during his time on the Board is to “help the agency’s fundraising and marketing achieve that same level of growth so that the resources are available to meet the city’s need.” Besides his dedication and drive for change that we have already been witness to, we know Kevin’s goals are more than achievable. He has made a career out of being a consultant that works with nonprofits, currently holding the position of Chief Technology Officer at NextAfter.

Not only does he work for a company that promotes generosity in others, but he also walks the talk. His favorite quote, said by another nonprofit leader, is “Err on the side of generosity.” According to Kevin, “People tend to hold tight onto their time and possessions. Over the years, I’ve found that the more you give away, the more that ends up coming back to you. I’ve also realized that you can never go wrong giving too much, but a great number of problems can come from not giving enough.”

Giving isn’t the only thing he has been called. He is also an Iowan and a family man. Indeed, Kevin is not a native to Frisco, but our community has taken up a lot of real estate in his heart. “I’ve always been impressed with the dedication Frisco Family Services has to creating independence in the people that it serves,” said Kevin. “The goal isn’t just to provide for a need, it is to meet a need and move them into a place where they can meet that need on their own in the future.”

Another reason we know he loves our community is because it is where his wife and he are raising their two children. His favorite hobby is spending time with his kids. He calls it his #1 weekend activity! “I travel a great deal for work so spending more time with my children and my wife is always my goal,” said Kevin. He thinks it sounds corny, but if he had more hours in the day, he would spend them with his children. Additionally, he enjoys working out and woodworking.

We treasure each and every Board member and are so grateful for their time and talents dedicated to ensuring the success of our clients and building a caring community.
