Hello, Apple Hill Season! October is a month to celebrate spooktacular events with lots of family fun! We're hosting Trunk or Treat, the Scarecrow Contest, the Food Truck Festival, and this month, the Skate Park Renovation begins!

Sustainable + Organic Pine Fill used in the Promontory Field Renovation
Promontory Field is complete! EDHCSD
unveiled the renovated field last weekend, and the new synthetic turf looks outstanding. The brand of turf used is called Brock and the pine fill is both sustainable and organic.

Trails Connect Us
See the latest video of local outdoor enthusiasts
We are proud to maintain public parks, open spaces, and our multi-use New York Creek Trail year round. In the video, Trails Connect Us, we showcase residents (including a Jackson Jaguar kindergartener) and outdoor enthusiasts; Clint, Logan, Mike, Karen and Jeff on bikes along, with avid runner Pam, exploring a few popular spots where the New York Creek Trail connect them in El Dorado Hills.

Pumpkin Splash!
Saturday, October 26 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Begin your quest for the perfect Halloween pumpkin at the Pumpkin Splash Patch at EDHCSD's Community Pool. Children 3 to 10 years of age should come wearing their swimsuits for this holiday hunt. Participants will hunt for their perfect pumpkin in the heated pool, decorate it and take it home. In addition, there will be open swim. Price includes a pumpkin, decorating supplies, swim pass for the day and a special Trick-or-Treat goodie bag.

Junior Sugar Skull
October artists will paint a Junior Sugar Skull in just two hours with the step-by-step instructions from Terri Haverty.
Class is on October 24, 2019 and the fee is $32.

Join us in the kitchen where we will explore the culinary world through a child's eyes. We work with all fresh/organic ingredients and eat or share our creations. Learn or refine your skills in blocking, lagging, bumping, and shooting. Get the big picture on the court at Promontory Community Park to know what strategies to use and how to execute them.
