The Food Bank has moved to Chicopee! Their new larger, greener Food Distribution Center and Headquarters in Chicopee will enable the Food Bank to provide more healthy food to more people more equitably, enhance efficiency, and deepen engagement with the community to confront the underlying causes of hunger. They are scheduled to move into a new Distribution Center and Headquarters during the week of August 28th and begin operations in Chicopee on September 5th.

Clinical & Support Options: new medical respite pilot program


CSO was one of six awardees chosen in the state to be a part of the commonwealth’s Medical Respite Pilot Program, which is expected to begin in November.

The new pilot program allows CSO to expand its offerings for houseless individuals who are discharged from a hospital and do not have a housing option available to them, ensuring follow-up medical care and a long-term place to recover and get into permanent housing. MORE

The training will explore current and historical manifestations of race and racism, both overtly and covertly, and initial steps towards becoming an anti-racist practitioner.
