Fall is here! - see what's new at Loveland!

FALL activities are popping up all over the Loveland Center!

Nick B. and Brandon C. worked together collaboratively to create this Fall Halloween Canvas for the wall in Building C! Nick drew the pumpkin and the Brandon colored the pumpkin and added some ghost friends. Way to use teamwork guys. It looks great!

Center Spotlights

Zack was having some fun while learning the skills needed to wash dishes with Team Lead Sara. Learning every day living skills is a daily activity at Loveland. Their smiles were contagious!

Chris and Jason have been working on safety awareness education. Online safety is a current topic being covered as well.

It's no secret that pet therapy has a magical way of brightening our spirits. Humane Society of Sarasota County Pet Therapy Team volunteers to visit Loveland weekly! The animals' unconditional love and companionship brought laughter and warmth to Chris, Billy and Loveland's CEO Patrick Geurin, along with the rest of our staff and participants.

We are grateful to announce the start of a $25,000 matching gift from the Suncoast Foundation which will run from now until Loveland's 15th Annual BBQ. The match of $25,000 means that your gift can be matched dollar-for-dollar to help Loveland purchase the items needed for the Workshop/Scene Shop!

Outdoor Therapeutic Activity Area

New Outdoor Therapeutic Activity Area made possible by a generous donation from the James M. Doss Charitable Foundation and Suncoast Charities for Children!

Loveland Center held a dedication for the new activity area recently. Participants and residents enjoyed trying out the outdoor area. The morning was filled with Sarasota & Venice community visitors who enjoyed refreshments created by Loveland's Hearty Kitchen Academy and visited a pop-up sale by the Loveland Store! Loveland thanks the James M. Doss Charitable Foundation and Suncoast Charities for Children for this great addition to the Venice Loveland Center!

Volunteer Days!

A HUGE thank you goes out to our amazing volunteers! Publix Serves Team D35 came out to power wash, lay cement, paint, clean and spread mulch generously donated by MRT Lawn and Garden Center Store. In addition, members from the Bird Key Yacht Club arranged through the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce "Fall For Sarasota" volunteer event came out to finish the rest of the current projects. Our local volunteers Doug Koo and Kim Larson were team leads for these groups. The transformation was incredible and we're proud to be part of a community that CARES!

Thank you to ALL of our volunteers that visit often and share their time, support and skills with Loveland!

Fall Dance

The Loveland Center hosted a Fall Dance! What a fun evening of dancing, food, friends and family! Over 100 individuals came from the Loveland Center, Loveland residents and the community!
