Letter from our Director

Happy fall to everyone! As we enter this last quarter, we will be finishing our new addition on our building and our family area. We want to give thanks to all the workers who have labored over this project and those who have donated to make this happen.

This new addition will provide an industrial kitchen, Chapel/dinning area, and two offices. With the space we will saving in our existing building, we will be adding a gym/recreation area and intake dorms.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank all those that have helped and tell everyone to be watching for our grand opening announcement!

The Power of Words

The power of words is undeniable. They can uplift or destroy, unite or divide, enlighten or deceive. Understanding and harnessing this power responsibly is crucial in our interactions and communications. Thank you to those who continually uplift the men in our program. From Independence Day celebration to some bowling to Labor Day shenanigans we love seeing our clients have some time for rest & relaxation! We feel it is a vital part to healing & recovery.

Safe Harbor of Erin's playground will be great for visits for clients & their children!

Baptisms

During the 3rd Quarter 25 men were baptized in Erin. We celebrated the beginning of a new chapter for these clients, as they publicly professed their faith through baptism.

We are so excited to watch their new life in Christ!

The Staff of the Quarter is Pastor Gary Kenney.

Picking Pastor Kenney as the Staff of the Quarter was easy but sad. I started my career with Safe Harbor working side by side with Pastor over 10 years ago and sadly he has ended his career working for me here in Erin as my lead Chaplain by retiring after 20 years of dedicated service to this ministry.

It is obvious your willingness, hard work, and commitment to God has led to not only my spiritual growth but every man that encounters you here at Safe Harbor of Erin. We wish you well on your retirement and pray for many blessings to you and your family.

Partner of the Quarter -Hankook Tire

Our most recent contract with Hankook Tire, has been a God send. They provide a safe work environment and the men who work there state the employees of Hankook Tire are supportive and positive. The office staff at Safe Harbor appreciate the timely manner, in which documentation is received and the open communication which allows us to best serve the clients in the program. We are hoping on starting more clients there soon. Hankook Tire continues helping the clients of Safe Harbor not only be productive and support their recovery, they are also granting an opportunity to those who might otherwise be unable.

We are a grateful beyond measure for Hankook Tire and are excited to say they are our Partner of the Quarter. Through open communication, a positive work environment, and opportunities for our men they have set themselves above the norm.
